Default Plasti-Dipping the Black Mamba

First off, I have to apologize because I noticed there is another member who named their truck the "Black Mamba," but I watched Kill Bill the night before I got my truck and the name stuck.

This past weekend I painted my Calipers red and plastidipped my wheels black. I think it makes such an insane difference in the look and I absolutely love it. I am thinking of doing the front and rear emblem in black as well.

The plastidip didn't come out perfect but it was the first time ever using it. I am going to let it stay on there for a while and then redo them.

On a side note, I realized that the jack that came with the truck kind of sucks and my truck just about fell off of it when I had the rear lifted. It literally rested against my leg and a tire for about 5 minutes while the jack was leaning until a couple neighbors walked out and helped me get it back up. Called my roommate during the ordeal but she was napping and never came to help!

(I started researching the proper way to use jackstands afterwards and realized I was to blame though! Just lucky and happy there were no damages to either the truck or myself.)

Gotta do those side steps, Ranman. (Though it looks like they are done in the 1st pic.)

I love black... So... x3

Looks like the wheels could use another layer of plasti-dip. The sides of the spokes look a little thin. The truck looks good. How about tinting the front windows to match?

I have to agree on all accounts!

I went through 5 cans on the four rims so I need to buy some more and put a couple more coats on each one. The windows are the next item on the list, just waiting for a groupon deal on it.

Sounds like a plan.

I have done the side steps since that pic was taken.

Very addictive! I like the idea of a couple coats of spray wax to toughen it up on the traffic areas though. gonna give that a try.

I'm pretty sure its 20's but if you go to a tint shop and tell them you want it to match, i'm pretty sure they'd be able to tell you exactly what it is right away.
