Default Questions from a Newbie 2011 Sport

Hello all. I have recently agreed to purchase a 2011 Sport, that I won't get my hands on for a couple of weeks. Now that I've done the deal, I'm getting excited about the truck, and have a couple of questions.

1. The truck has Nav - is there any monthly cost to use this? I'm not finding that specific info on any of the uconnect info sites. I'd prefer to have the GPS portion in operation, without any road side assistance, etc.
2. The truck is loaded up quite nicely. However, I wasn't looking for, or concerned whether it had a DVD system. In 2011, was the DVD an option by itself, or would it have been apart of the Nav/radio system? It isn't a big deal to me if it has one, but would be a nice bonus!
3. Will it have a locking tailgate?

I will probably come up with more questions as I think about things! Thanks for your help.

I think the locking tailgate is fairly standard. I have it on my bighorn so I would think the sport would have it also but i could be wrong.
Also the Nav would be free to use. I don't have one so don't know for sure on this also. Now getting updates for it maybe a cost but not sure, sure someone will answer that for you properly.

As far as the Nav goes it doesn't cost to use but as said above you would have to pay for updates just as if you had a regular Garmin GPS.
Not to sure about the DVD, I would think it would be a different added option.
You should have the tailgate lock. I believe the power locking tailgate would be another different option. My big horn came with locking tailgate and I added power locking tailgate option.

If you've got the nav and u connect in it, I'm pretty sure it's the same unit as mine and you'll have a DVD unit in it, ...top right button should fold down the screen to reveal the slot to put the DVD into.... It'll probably have the back up camera in it as well, and a hard drive for music and pictures....
Almost positive it'll have a locking tailgate, power locking is an option though that I don't have

You can get the 50.2. something update for the Nav here on this site. Within first week of having my Ram this past February I had installed the update. Simple to do.

DVD player works great. And you should have it. The stereo really comes alive with movies. We watched frozen sitting in the driveway. My 3 yr old niece was loving it. I think you will be very happy with the sport.

No cost for nav, has DVD, and has a locking tailgate.

Unless you install a lockpick or other bypass device the DVD player will only function while in park.
