Default Kumho Road Venture AT KL78 vs General Grabber AT2

I need some advice on those that have ran these two tires. The KL78s are enticing because they are cheaper than the AT2's. I understand the KL78s offer no road warranty, however my experience is getting a warranty replacement is not an easy thing unless a serious defect, so I do not hold a lot of weight to a warranty. please give me your thoughts...

-mostly highway driving with some off road
-best in the snow and ice (excluding studs for the AT2), and conditions up to -50F
-not overly concerned with longevity as long as they both last 30K+

I have run the Generals, they were pretty good, wore out a bit fast, but my rear tires seem to go up in smoke. I would look at the GY Duratrac's as first choice. I'm running Hankook Dynapro ATM's, about equal to the Grabbers. My cousin has the Duratracs on his Tundra with TRD supercharger and they really hook up.
