Agreed. Most of the RAMs I see are the Express model, especially 2013-2014 .

Well, the link says Ram will be "launching a NEW MODEL," so I think any speculation about existing models (i.e. 1500) may be misplaced. I don't remember it mentioning whether it will be a consumer-level or commercial vehicle.

I'd love to see a true factory-built competitor to the Raptor, but besides being just a trim level on the 1500 (and thus not a "new model") I don't see much money to be made in that niche, so not likely. Would be cool, though.

What new product will they introduce that they think will take a bigger bite out of Ford and GM's market share? What do the others offer - or plan to offer - that Ram does not? Should be interesting.

Hopefully they don't announce that those awful looking split tailgates will be a standard option!

The announcement from Ram actually reads new product announcement. I think most writers took liberties in saying new model was being launched, or didn't read the release. I'll keep looking for where I saw the actual Ram invitation posted online and post the link here.

You can bet that the Ram Promaster & Ram CV Tradesman will be brought up

Wouldn't it be nice if they announced that they were going to remake the paint booth during the shut down this summer

All of the other Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in Michigan get painted at a new paint facility
The tracks that the body parts run on is Belt Driven
The tracks in the Warren Paint Booth are still run by chain drive, hence it is dirtier
