Looking for aftermarket exhaust on 05' Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.7 Hemi...
Had someone tell me the hemi's loose bottom end torque with true duels ? I was thinking about replacing the cats with high flow and x-pipe to duel to 2 chambered mufflers and then out the back ? Someone from muffler shop I looked at said the Hemi looses bottom end torque...? Do they with this set up..?
It relies on your mods and the pipe they use, if you are basically stock then running 2.5" pipe all the way out with a cross over and chambered mufflers should not hurt your bottom end, if you have cam, head work and headers then you can bump that to 3" all the way out and still be alight it just depends on what you have done.
...I agree with kamanhart.... Initially you may feel the loss at the beginning but when the pcm learns the new flow characteristics, it more than makes up for the lost feel...take it from a fellow 05 hemi owner
