Default RTV on new water pump gasket for 5.7 Hemi?

I am replacing the water pump and radiator and noticed some slight pitting on two areas of the block gasket surface. I have searched the manual, this forum and many others, but I can't find the information. Is there a problem with using RTV with the water pump gasket. I'm no mechanic, but haven't used anything that required a rubber ribbon type gasket like this water pump. Any responses are appreciated.

Default

I replaced my waterpump and the instructions said NO RTV. I just used the rubber gasket and never had a problem and it's been a year now. Change your thermostat also while your in there.
