They are not serviceable, if you try to remove them you break them and have to buy a whole new mirror assembly.

why would you try to remove them?
what would be the purpose?

there must be a way (ie: changing the LED bulbs)
i cant imagine in order to replace a turn single LED in the mirror the entire power/heated mirror has to be replaced? that makes no sense.

I did not read anything about him changing bulbs. I wanted to remove mine to color match them. Had to take the mirrors off the truck and mask in order to paint them.

well "serviceable" would mean you cannot service the mirrors (IE; change light bulbs)

I know that you can replace the mirror glass, dealership parts dept. has them in stock for $58

Behind the glass there is a motor on mine, it looks like it can also be removed

I never said the mirrors were not serviceable; I said the caps for the mirrors were not. Perhaps the cover on the bulb is removable to service the bulb; I don't know. I was just passing on information that I do know. Perhaps the cap with the turn signal lights are serviceable. The mirror cap on my 2013 truck is not, and the mirror cap is what he is trying to remove to paint.

The caps do come off... Mine is sitting in my box. How to take it off, I don't really know. Mine sorta just fell off.. with the help of a cement column.

Sports with painted mirrors have a separate painted cap from the textured plastic. Not the textured plastic mirrors which are one piece, on an Express
