Default USB drive will not recognize on uconnect 5.0

Hi everyone. This is a great forum and have already learned a ton of great info. Im having issues getting my uconnect 5.0 to recognize my USB drive. I have approx 485 songs on the drive(all mp3) and they're seperated into folder by genre(rock, metal, country etc) When I connect the usb drive, it says loading on the screen then after a few minutes it say USB drive not recognized, please reinsert drive. Tried this about 10 times and got the same result. I googled for answers and the only thing I found was there must be a jpeg on the drive as well. I put one on there and still no go. Anyone have any ideas?

I would try a clean / freshly formatted jump drive with just a few mp3s on it..
no folders..
see if that works.

I would also add to make sure drive is formatted to Fat32.

I put my music all mp3 on a "SanDisk Cruzer Edge 8GB USB" using my laptop and it plays fine on the 5.0 radio, the songs I have in files I have to open them from the radio touch screen to play, none file songs play automatically.

I sure hope it has autoplay, I dont have my truck yet but am counting on it- hope its just a setting.

I have a micro 4GB USB stick for my car and same set up with folders and music, it has auto play and works fantastic. I will be upset if I have to manually select each song.

I was wondering if you guys could answer a question about the 5.0 / RA2 Uconnect radio. I have a USB drive full of tunes and its setup with Artist Folder > Albums Folder > Tracks.

My question is, is there a way to scroll back? Example, Listening to Pantera > Far Beyond Driven > 5 Minutes Alone. Want to go to Pantera > Vulgar Display of Power > Regular People.

There is no back button in the upper left hand corner. When you click the Browse Button, your options are Now Playing (which will only let you pick the songs from the current album folder playing), Artist, Albums and so on. I always have to click on Browse, then Artist, then the Alphabet letter of the band, then the album, to go to another album by the same band. Pretty annoying when I just want to go back to the albums by the same band.

I have the latest update from the website on the radio. Please tell me I'm blind and just missing a folder up button!

Thanks for the help
