Sean is absolutely correct. All you have to do, which I have been trying to convey to everyone, is sign up as a preferred customer. Its $20 a year and you pay dealer prices. That makes the OE $4.70, the XL $5.85, and the Signature Series $7.85-8.15. Very competitive pricing and you just about save your $20 on the first transaction.

I used to run Royal Purple until they took the Synerlec additive out of the oil. It's a hit and miss though. I run Mobil 1 now because of price and it is just as good in my opinion. I have a friend who ran Royal Purple and when the oil change interval was coming up, it started to burn a bit of oil. He switched to Mobil 1 and hasn't had the problem since.

Oh look, an oil thread...

Right now Mobil 1 5W-20.

I'd be just as happy with Amsoil, Castrol Syntec or any other quality synthetic for that matter. I'm sticking to a 6-7.5K oil change interval and have done enough oil analysis over the years to know that the "advantages" of one oil over another in my application and the length of time I keep a vehicle is practically infinitesimal...

Check out BITOG if oil really floats your boat...those guys are super cereal!

Royal Purple. I dont know what I had in my truck when I bought it but I have been gettin a little better millage with RP. Not saying it will work for everyone like that but its a good oil as is many other synthetics. Its all preference and cant go wrong with any high quality one IMO

Ive always used Mobile 1 5W-20 since my first oil change. Ive been very tempted to go to Amsoil, is the hype worth the money?

I got the Chrysler deal for $65 for 4 changes. Don't know what the dealer uses. When I start doing my own I'll prolly go to Castrol Syntec. That's what I use on my AR's.

Mobil-One

I have tried Royal Purple and AMSOil, not Torco though I hear thats the "best" synthetic. For the money it doesn't seem like I can beat Mobil-One. I did not have very good luck at all with Royal Purple or AMSOil, and not just in my Hemi but other applications as well, including Diesel.

Has any one ran the Napa brand synthetic oil? They have it on sale for $24.99 for a 5L jug.
