Default Coolant question.

When you take the radiator cap off and start the car and let it idle is the coolant supposed to overflow out the top of the radiator? Only had the truck on for about 10 mins and it started to overflow? It wasn't even that hot yet.

!0 minutes is long enough for the water to get warm in the engine, and the thermostat starts to gradually open; the overflowing is caused by the coolant expansion due to heating up; it normally goes into the overflow reservoir, to be sucked back in the rad. once it cools off.
I don't think you have an issue yet...but keep an eye on your temp. gauge.
Good luck.
