A stoopid question if I may... Those devices must be installed and wired permanently in the vehicle electronics or are they only a plug-in programmer that configures some parameters and then you keep them at home for further use?

They plug into the OBD-II port and then you install the tune and then unplug it the device.

The Diablosport Predator is the best money I've spent on a mod. The difference on the car is like night and day.

What are the ratings for horsepower and torque on the Diablo tuners? are there different models? I have heard different stories from different people.

Could somebody please give me more info on this? Is there different models? I am interested in this and it will probably be my next purchase after the holidays along with an exhaust and intake. (I am also throwing the idea around of purchasing a set of the srt-10/ viper wheels).

I have the HEMI 5.7 liter that ran a 14.90 stock. The only reason I raced it was because the car was broken, so what better else to do but race the tow vehicle?

Marcelo, what you are thinking of is the cheap boxes that are on ebay. Eaveryone I am sure has seen these. They are wired in to the harness for the air flow sensor. All thats in that box is a resistor that tricks your trucks ECU into thinking that the air passing by the sensor is much cooler than it really is. The ECU thinks that the air is much more dense and adds more fuel. They sell these boxes for cheap for very car and truck made on ebay and other sites. They do work but not well and the tuners that plug into the OBD-II port are much better and actually tune the truck and you get more options out of them.

Thanks GITuk... I was just guessing they would be very simple to be so cheap, but I couldn't figure out what would they do to give at least a 5% power increment... your description sounds reasonable

Hey man, are you in Iraq by now???
