Not comfortable saying who I work for, they're very reputable and take care of their own though. Been here since November 2008.

We operate a fleet of 60 log trucks, 17 gravel trucks, and a dozen or so heavy equipment operators.

I am the office manager over the logging division. We're contracted through Weyerhaeuser for the North Louisiana region. We haul between 700-900 loads of wood each and every week. Besides basic orientation, I have to check and make sure operations go smoothly and that the drivers are obeying not just the company's rules but also the contractor rules. We preach safety, because there is no small accident in this kind of work.

I'm also one of two supervisors over the company cells phones. 110 lines in total. We supply the employees with a company phone. I have to make sure they aren't talking/texting and driving and keep up with DOT regulations. Half my job is DOT compliance. In five minutes I can find out who the driver called, how long he talked, was his truck in motion, if he sent or received a text, all that. It's kind of like detective work.

I work for a company that builds the ultimate offroad vehicle. Due to the nature of our business in the defense industry if i were to take photos of my office (huge welding/fab shop) I would be fired and possibly up on charges. We build light armored vehicles (LAV's) for different militaries like the USMC and US Army, ever heard of the Stryker?

In August 2008 I retired from Chrysler after 36 years. About a year later I went back to work at a place called UTi. Went back to retirement about a month ago. I no longer have my 2010 Jeep Wrangler JKU, but I'm driving a 2003 Dodge Ram. I'm thinking of going back to work in maybe March or April. I hate being retired. We might be moving to the Milwaukee area in October or November.

I've heard of Oshkosh in that line of business, but I work for General Dynamics. Everything is very hush hush, parking lot is gated, building is gated. I enjoy building something that may one day save someones life, somebody who's risking their life to ensure our freedom. I think for everyone of us that got hired, they had 10 not make it through the welding assessment.

I'm a professional certified freight relocator. Guys that makes millions of dollars and have skyscraper offices, don't have the view I have on a daily basis. This post makes my job seem a lot more glorious than it actually is. Seriously LOL
Anywho, we haul a bunch of equipment. Dozers, trackhoes, bobcats, backhoes, etc...
