Default Front fascia, grill, bumper package

I have a '99 Ram SLT and haven't owned it for very long. The last Dodge pickup I had was 20 years ago and it was a '67 Camper Special.

I've seen, from time to time, trucks in my body style that instead of a black plastic/chrome/top black plastic combination front bumper; it was all body color.

I am assuming that this was some factory special model offering but am not sure.

Anyone know? I'm thinking I want to change out the fugly black plastic/chrome front bumper.

If anyone knows of a website that shows this generation truck and options that were available that would be great! I haven't found one yet but am still looking.

Thanks in advance for any help!

AHA!!! A little more digging (I guess I got impatient, sorry!) and I found the info on a Dodge Truck history website. In 1999, Dodge offered the Ram Sport package with a body colored front fascia, fog lights and body colored grill shell. Cool.

A little more digging and I found an aftermarket source and of course, the dealers may also be able to get the parts.

Now I am trying to determine, from the pictures on the aftermarket seller's website, what parts (brackets, fasteners, sub frame/bumper structure parts) are needed to make this work.

I did this with a GM pickup some years ago and really like the monochromatic look.

So, off I go into parts research and mod mode! LOL

See, now, that didn't take long. Glad a resident guru was able to get back to you so quick. LOL Looking forward to seeing what you do to the Ram. I'm in favor of the mono look too, that's why I ride in stealth mode...all or mostly, ok, maybe 80% black.

Will do! Lotsa grills out there I can use. I'll have to paint them but no biggy. Now I gotta find the rest of the front fascia pieces and hardware to go with it. LMC Truck has all of it from what I can see.

It's either order from them or go shopping in the dealer lots after they close...

Michael, the safer bet is the LMC, with the other alternative, you may end up paying more than you bargain for...LOL

Yep....I'm sure you are right, Dave. I've gotten great parts at good prices with super service from LMC in the past when I was redoing the Blazer. So while I might save a few bucks initially with an eBay seller, that savings may be eaten up in chasing the seller after I get a box from of junk!
