Do you know how to bypass the amp? I getting to the point where I want to go to Best Buy and have them install it because this is turning into a bigger headache than I want.

Well, I said f**k it and dropped the truck off to have Best Buy install the radio and amp. $135 I didn't want to spend, but it's easier this way. I sure hope they can figure out the speaker issue. Thanks to everyone for their help.

So I just picked the truck up, and I don't know what they did, but it works just fine. Couldn't be happier.

Well good. I know more about the newer ones than the 90's models unfortunately. Gotta have tunes though! Glad you got it fixed!

I have a similar problem. I can get audio some what but I do have to have the blue amp wire from my aftermarket stereo hooked up to the blue wire from the harness. My problem is the sound is all WRONG.. in the front only the driver side door speaker is working and it sounds really drowned out and all treble. The passenger side door speaker get nothing at all, nothing from the tweeters either. The back two door speakers sound ok as long as the stereo is set to normal any type of eq setting custom or like ROCK and they have too much bass.. Hopefully I can find something on these forums in a search or others know what my problem is. Maybe I will try calling BestBuy tomorrow to see if they can direct me without having to take it in. Too bad they didnt tell you what they did.

Default 2004 Ram Alpine install.. same problem

The stereo hooks up everything works no sound. To bypass the amp is the only way to get it to work??
