Glad to know it's not just me. Somebody told me I could have rivets put in it and that should take care of the problem. I will definitely check on this when I take it in this month. If anyone else has a suggestion, I am open to ideas. My truck is too new to sound that old!

I have to echo that sentiment as well. I have only bought one other vehicle the same model year it came out, and I lucked out because they had already done a model run, so most of the bugs had beed worked out, but as with the '09's, I am willing to see what things look like at the end of next year and might consider a trade at that point because I sure do love the new RAMs.

Okay, got the Truck back from the Dealer and here's what they have done so far.

1) Reflashed the computer (1st time). Actually felt "peppier" when I got it back.

2) Reflashed the computer again. Feels the same.

3) Replaced the Muffler. They weren't sure why, it was a "Rapid Response Transmital" from the main office.

4) Replace one of the Sensors, not sure which one, but it had to be ordered and they will call when it comes in.

5) Replace the Tailgate Spoiler, special order part. Not sure why, but I'm guessing it's because the existing one holds water after it rains and when you open the Tailgate you get douched!

6) Not a recall. There was a noise from the front suspension. They found that the Passenger side front spring was installed incorrectly and was "out of ratation", and it made a metal to metal contact noise when going over bumps. They fixed it.

That's it, so far. Seems like to many things to have to deal with for a new Truck, but none of it is a major problem., just an inconvienience, and I really like the Truck, it's much slower than the old truck but wayyyy quieter, rides so much better and gets twice the freeway fuel milage!

Later,
Shawn

Just got back from dealer today. 09 hemi fuel sensor recall. Notices mailed soon. Went in for engine light coming on.
1. could have been caused by filling gas tank up with engine running, or
2. fuel sensor
Dealer ordered part, going back next week.

I just asked this question in this post http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=38581 because mine is not showing an alert for MDS usage either. (The alert is new for 09', along with EVIC so in the previous models there was no alert.) Anyway I'm in Michigan and the temperature has been down to 30's and up to 60's in the past week (so I don't think it's a temperature thing). I've had the truck for a week and I've no idea what the "fuel saving" alert even looks like.

Well I can tell you on my '06 Ram SLT I have 5 recalls according to my insurance provider, Progressive. They are:

- Equipment/Electrical with the Tow Package (doesn't affect my truck)
- ABS Electronic Control Unit
- Exterior Lighting
- Power Train: Transfer Case
- Front Whell Suspension

As soon as I have a day off from work I plan on getting these taken care of at my dealership. If anyone wants more in depth info on these I can cut/paste what the specifics of them are for you.

Just noticed over the weekend that my pinion seal looks as though it is beginning to leak, and I have not seen any TSB's or recalls on this particular issue. Has anyone else heard of anything? I am going to take it in this coming Saturday, and already have the part on order, but my truck is way too new to be having that kind of problem. Just rolled over 18k miles!

Well, took my truck in today, and yes, the pinion seal was leaking, but the pinion yoke is the culprit. Knock on some wood here, but the service department at my dealership gets kudos from me. They keep the inside of my truck clean, same as it was when I brought it in, but they seem to be genuinely interested in fixing it right the first time, if possible. By that I mean, until they took that apart, it would not have been noticeable, so I went ahead and had the seal replaced, they ordered the yoke and told me to bring it back next Saturday, but that I would be safe to drive it until then. They even wash my truck when I bring it in to get work done. On the flip side, there are no recalls or TSB's on this issue. The technician told me it was not anything that anyone did wrong, just a bad seal, and now I know why. That is the kind of service I appreciate.

My dealer (Pischke) La Crosse, Wi asked me to see if you could let us know who your dealer/service center is? they can find no information regarding computer flash for MDS. Mine hardly works, mileage down, performance down as well.

Thanks
