Default Little NC winter weather story for you all...

Sorry for not having any pictures, but we were in a hurry, with a NC State Trooper blocking the interstate for us to do this. We got quite a bit of snowy weather down here last night, certainly more than what we are used to. My brother drives a 1990 Dakota and took me to go get my fiance from her work. This is his first truck, so he isn't familiar with the different driving habits required for icy weather in a pickup. I had this feeling as soon as he let me out at her work, he would go too fast on his way home and sure enough, we see this truck facing the guard rail, headlights shining about two feet from it! He hit a patch of ice and it came around on him. Well we all piled in her car and headed home. The whole night I pondered whether my Ram could even get it out as far down in the snowbank as he was. Well sure enough, we put a tow strap on it, put both trucks in 1st gear, and with very minimal spin, the Ram pulled that little guy right on out. I was more impressed than I ever have been with these trucks. I had to share the story with everyone, since we are so proud of these masterpieces!!!

Wow!! First I am glad your brother is ok!! I am happy to hear your Ram served you well! Must be making you feel pretty secure right now as well!

I had my first encounters with ice in a very long time (had to deal with it while driving the big rig) this weekend and even just sliding a little coming to a stop sure makes you respect many things!! Scared me half to death and if I am driving too slow for the locals well then too darn bad!

Stay safe! I know you are getting weather today!

Why would you question if the Ram would pull it out shouldnt have been a ? ... J/K, glad it all worked out and everyone made it home OK, I see it all the time here in Ohio people driving 2 fast for the road conditions and next thing they Know even the 4x4's. I'm with Blue I'm taking my time not wrecking my RAM if you drive crazy then maybe I'll pull you out down the road a ways and when I do I hope they are driving a Ford or Chevy 4x4

Nice work! I would imagine the only damage to your brother's truck was the brown stain on the seat, right?

Like all before have said, glad everyone is ok and things worked out! We don't get much in the way of ice around here, but I will slow down in the rain if I have to. Not worth the accident, so if the people behind me don't like it, well then pass me! I also don't want the ticket.

This wa my first winter in the "Big city of Des Moines" (I am from small town rural Iowa my whole life) and it is crazy to see some of the people around here when it snows. I have watched more people go in the ditch then I have ever seen haha. It is the same thing tho, just driving too fast.

You all must be more nice then me. When someone flies by me and I see them in the ditch down the road, I don't stop (unless it is a serious accident, then of course I do). I just drive by slowly and wait for them to look and then give them a friendly one finger wave!

if there is one thing i know its pulling, towing, and heavy hauling around here (just don't know about anywhere else so you guys tell me what you see) dodge's are relied on to do it all it doesn't mattter what size of truck (1500, 2500, or even 3500) but i have done my fair share of pulling people out it is one amazing peice of machine that man has made and now we all own one we all kick A**

chithead don't know if your familiar with Uwharrie trails just south of Ashborro but heres a pic of me pulling up a fullsize range rover that couldn't make it up Dutch John trail. It's very steep with tight high walls on both sides.

On Tuesday a mail man in his small semi truck (empty) got into the median area on Hwy70 where it was muddy and couldn't get out. I put it in 4lo and locked the rear diff and snatched him right out. Our trucks can pull very well.
