well i've decided i must go with a roll up and no cross bow's , it looks like extang doesnt make on for the 5'7" bed , but truxedo does. anyone have one that could give some input as far as thier quality and durability ?

how much room does it take up when its not on ? my problem is i'll drive 6 hours on the highway with it on and then have to take it off for the trip home with a full bed , when i had my avalanche the problem was the panels took up half the room in the bed.
also i have a 09 crew cab with a 5'7" bed , so i dont even think there will be room to lay the folded up cover along the side of the bed.

I just had the fold-a-cover hardtop G4 Elite installed on my 09 ram crew 1500. Looks great. Will try to post some pictures in a couple of days. Just getting ready to add some nerf bars to finish it up and I am done for awhile

after doin some research it appears extang doesnt make the soft covers for the 5'7" bed yet , they said in the next 30-60 days hopefully. looks like im going to order up a truxedo lo-pro cover , down side is it cost more than half what a painted fiberglass cost , the one piece or panel type just dont fit my needs.

My father in law just bought one from Extang for his 2008 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. It folds up to the open position when you take it off (it folds 3 times to open). I will be posting some pics on thurs hopefully of my turck and mods.

I have a Leer fiberglass cover with electric lock that works with my alarm. Biggest complaint is that it will not open like the soft top but I needed a solid cover that would lock with my alarm when I ran my business. The topper has been resprayed 3 times due to attempted break ins but never successful so to that I trust leer covers. BTW never paid a penny for the respray thanks to Leer's limited lifetime warranty on total tonneau protection.
