I've got a 2004 Quad Cab with a 4.7 liter motor. Right now I'm averaging exactly 11 mpg around town. It would probably go up on the highway though.

Yea it really depends on which model Ram you get, ( Off Road, Power Wagon, Rumble Bee) etc. I have a 2003 Ram 1500, with the Off Road package. It was also the first year that Dodge reintroduced the Hemi, so no MDS junk here. I also get between 9-11. I have also lifted it 2'', and put a performance filter and exhaust, with no gains. My dad has an 08 2500, and i think he gets double what i get.

I have a 2008 with the 4.7 and average about 18 MPG, it's about half highway/half city to work and back.

Posted in your other post also...... The 07 Hemi compared to the 4.7L will be about the same all around for the most part. If you are going to tow heavy then get the HEMI.

dear friends,

i will like to know, what could be the impact in gas mileage for a 1500 and a 2500 cummins, if you drive in a city or a country where most of the streets and roads (there is no highways) has hills... i mean up and down constantly?

what mpg can we expect in both models??

regards,
