Default i just went ebay crazy

so i bought a performance accessories body lift, an srt hood scoop, and those upper and lower headlight lip covers. gonna paint all of that stuff white to match, should be pretty sweet when im done, ill try and get some before and after pics up.

with the body lift though, ive always heard that its relatively easy to do at home just time consuming, but i looked up the intstruction sheet and its talking all about cutting and welding stuff and disconnecting about everything in the engine compartment including the air intake. anyone put on a body lift? or know how? my buddy says all you have to do is put on the spacer, brake line extensions, steering extension, and thats it. somebody clear this up for me please!

I hope someone has installed one and can chime in on this. I have looked into them before, but don't remember any cutting and welding. I know that there is alot of disconnecting involved for prevention of any damage to hoses, wiring harnesses, things of that nature.

I've never put one on a Full size truck. I have put one on a Jeep Wrangler. I only put on a 1 or 2" lift cant remember now what size it was but I didn't have to do anything but put the spacers in so I'm thinking it might all depend on the size of the body lift.

i read the instructions over really thouroughly (lol dont even have the kit yet, comes tomorrow) and it looks like im just going to have to cut the gas line and add an extension and cut the radiator fan housing and add an extension to that. hopefully i didnt get in over my head, but on Camp Lejeune on the military base they have this place called the auto hobby shop. you can rent a bay and a lift, and you have access to any tool you may need and they have parts for sale like the hoses and clamps. any other advice from anyone? cant wait till i get all this stuff on, truck is gonna be sick!

where do you all come up with this stuff. I have a 95 dodge ram 2500 Heavy, and I just put a 3" PA Body lift with 1.5" coil spacers and 2" rear blocks. and with the body lift you have to disconnect alot under the hood and the brake lines. move the fan shroud to the motor. raise the body put your nylon blocks between body and frame and rebolt. then hook up everything else.

if you have an auto you have to cut and weld the linkage between the steering column and pivot on the frame and weld a 3/8" steel dowel to extend for the body lift, and add a steering box extension.
