Default Tinting around the circles on my 08 tail lights?

Ok well ill eventually go with new led tail lights but until then I want to black them out. I did it to my Dakota and used to get pulled over a lot, so this time I just want to tape off the circular knobs that stick out on the 06 to 08 tail lights, then spray the tint on so the circle parts will be red and the rest blacked out. Has anyone done this? I'm just wondering a way I can tape off the circular parts. I was thinking about taking a compass and tracing it, then cut it out but I want it to look perfect. Or if I could find a circle sticker that's the same diameter, that would be perfect. Any ideas? I also seen a guy with stock tail lights with LEDs going around the circles, how is that done?

i would go with the sticker idea, because if you cut a peice of paper out of the perfect dia. thn how r u gonna tape it? if u cant find a sticker, try taping it off in the area u want taped off, then find somthing circular & cut around it. hope it works out for u bro!

Thanks guys, yeah thats what I meant, I'd tape it off and cut it out. But that will never come out perfect. I might go to a vinyl shop and get them to cut me out 4 circles. Wow the halos are 200, ill just weight and get led tail lights, i think the guy i seen just used the leds on a strip. Looked good, cause i like the 06-08 tail lights and they dont make style in leds. Anyways about tinting the tail lights, I'm trying to keep it cheap, hopefully a vinyl shop can do that cheap. I've seen it done before, I just wish i knew how they did it.
