Default no power in my 4.7 06 ram

hi i just bought my 06 ram 4x4 quad cab and it dosent have the power i think it should have, it wont spin the tires even on a corner. i took it to dealer and had the recalls fixed, air bag, seat belt, and wheel bearings. and then took it to trans shop and they hooked it up and said everything is right. just wondering if anyone else has had issuses with this? the only mods i've done are cat back duals. any help would be great thanks

Well, the 4.7 isn't a big HP engine but you can pump it up a bit.

Since you have duals already, I'd look into a cold air intake and find a programmer for your truck. The programmer will help with more power and firmer shifts.

You can add some headers and higher flow cats, do a cam, lifters, etc...or add some forced induction.

Also, if it feels a bit sluggish off the line from idle, a higher stall torque converter in the tranny and some taller gears in the differential will help a lot by adding a torque multiplier.

Yeah, the truck weighs more and so that's definitely gonna make a difference. Torque moves weight to some form of torque multiplier (gears) will really make a difference.

Hypertech has a module that is upgradeable. Go check out their site and put in your specific vehicle info.

Superchips has two offerings for your vehicle depending on what features you want. Go to their website and plug in your specific vehicle info there.

I've used both the Hypertech and the Superchips products on GM vehicles in the past and had no problems with them.

It's unfortunate that DiabloSport doesn't make a Predator for the 4.7L as this tool, IMHO, is the best on the market.

Great suggestions BTW if you were to switch the read diff on a 4.7 to say the 5.7 or even the srt10 what result would we get. Im thinking of doing that to see if i can get anymore performance. I know i will not gain hp but i though that would help a bit.
