Default engine longevity

I have a 2006 3.7 liter with 135,000 miles. I want to make my engine run forever. I am looking to have the cylinder heads rebuilt. In my research, I have found some Ram owners have had rocker arms fall off after 100,000 miles. Would having cylinder head work done a good start to keeping my truck running. My Ram is good to me and I need to be good to it.

Dave

As things age they do get wear and tear, BUT.....
If it ain't broke don't fix it

But if your just dying to break in there then yes that would be a good place to start, while your already in there you could do your springs, lifters, pushrods, etc. might as well just throw a little bigger cam in just for fun

No pushrods, 2 cams. If you want cams you will have to get custom ground ones.

I was always told that if you do work on the TOP end only, you put a lot of stress on the Lower end & visa verse

if i were doing work on the top end
i would also do at least, inserts & rings
rings would also mean honing the cylinder walls to get rid of the lip & a quick deglazing with a flex hone tool, both can be done at home using a electric drill
