No first hand experience but I have heard of people spraying the front end of their vehicle with either pledge or pam before taking a long trip to make the bugs eaiser to clean off. I just perfer to wax my truck with regular wax. If your looking for a short cut use a spray detailer after you wash your truck.

Using Pledge on paint and chrome is a long, proven practice amongst motorcyclists. I've used it for well over 10 years with absolutely no harm to the paint, both OEM paint and custom House of Kolors paint jobs.

Both metal and plastic painted parts. Its a great way to remove bug hits and will make all future hits easier to remove.
Plus using it on all painted surfaces (must be clean like the OP stated) and it will do a great job shining the ride.

I have not used it on anything else (vehicle wise) and certainly would never recommend it on seats or tires (slippery).
