Default Timing Belt Replacement Schedule on 2001?

I just bought a 2001 Ram 1500 with 110K miles. It has the 5.9L/360 gas engine.

One of the things I started to look at for maintenance was the timing belt, but I could find no reference to replacing it on the maintenance schedule. When/how should the timing belt be serviced?

Thanks!

Welcome aboard! Glad you joined us.

There is plenty of infos and awesome members here, not sure when you need to change it but I've read somewhere that the timing belt needs to be checked every 30k. (Edit : found ... it was here: http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread....ht=timing+belt)

Anyway someone with better knowledge will give you some answer soon. Enjoy the board!

Welcome to the forumZ and your 360 V8 has a timing chain not a timing belt.
