I bought an extra deep spark plug socket from JC Whitney. No socket extension needed down in the spark plug well. Works great.

All the new Hemi's have 16 plugs although the coil pack set changed in '06. The latest incarnation of the 4.7L also utilizes 16 plugs. The top plugs are scheduled to be changed every 30K and the bottoms one at every 100K.

4.7 now has 16 plugs, since 2008. One set on top under the coil packs and a second set on the side. Attached page from 2008 owners manual.

The deep socket is NOT required to change the plugs in either of these engines. I use a traditional plug socket and an appropriate length extension and never have any problems.
