Awesome writeup ! Just in time to as I'm getting ready to put leather on my seats and was about to purchase a new drivers cushion for $100. Now I can save some cash, Thanks !

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 4x4 Mega Cab truck that I purchased from Crown Dodge in Fayetteville, NC. It was my retirement gift to me after 20 years of Service in the US ARMY. Now with less than 70,000 miles on the truck my drivers seat is coming apart all the cushioning on the left side of the seat has fallen away and I am setting on metal covered by a thin piece of cloth... I have went to the dealer and called your Customer Service and get told it's fair wear???? My son owns a 1983 Ford Ranger with the orignal seats and they are in better shape than mine.... Why won't they fix what is obviously a problem? Has anyone else also had problems with the seat back? The top right corner of my Driver's seat is also has issues with the foam coming apart.... nice gift I got myself..

Thank you. I have taken my truck to an auto upholstery place twice and I can still feel the frame. With this tip I can repair it myself. You always do a better job with information and concern about your own butt. I love my truck, hate the seat. Thanks again

bathcomike. thanks for you service!

I've repaired mine a couple of times. didn't get the right comfort the first time. used some foam and some cushion material for outdoor padding. My back part of the bottom was really saggy and my legs hurt from pressure from the front edge of the seat. No i sit about 4" higher and love it.

Will this work for a 2005 Dakota?
