I drove my new 08 Dodge 2500 4WD through lots of passes, snowstorms, and freezing rain in the northern range of my 6000 mile trip. This was my first Dodge truck and it performed well. The tires are stock Michelins AS and I bought a full set of snows with studs in Idaho.
I have two stores up here in the Kingston Ontario area looking for RATED rims for these tires and I am having trouble finding that commodity. The present wheels are rated at almost 3200 pounds max per tire and I have had 3500 pounds in the back recently in the form of a Carleton stump grinder.
I am wondering if anyone else has considered the load rating when buying aftermarket rims and had trouble as I am finding same.
