Question Good service department in the Stafford, VA area?

As many of you know already, I moved to the Stafford, VA area about a month ago. At 2 days shy of my one year anniversary with Thunderhorse, I notice that I will be due for the 20,000 mile service along with an oil change (which I do not have the capability to do myself due to my housing situation) in under 3800 miles. I haven't really seen many dealerships around here, and I'm still pretty unfamiliar with the area. Where are you guys satisfied with having your service done?

Its not a really pressing issue, but I expect to be at 20k by sometime in October (which is before I will move again), and if any warranty issues pop up then it will be good to know who I can trust.

eddies repair shop is a family run garage that has been around for years. it's on courthouse road in north stafford.

there is a dodge dealership down in Fredericksburg on route 1 across from purvis ford I think.

I always go to eddies, I know the extended family. they are fair and great people

there a lot of chain shops around on 610, but I don't really trust them.

shoot me a PM if you have any other questions about area.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into that dealership. I have nothing against family run places, but I also received a notification in the mail that Thunderhorse is due to get her Uconnect software updated so I'd like to just do it all at once. I know I can do the update myself, but technology and I are not on the best of terms and I don't quite trust myself to do it.

Check out Safford CJDR in Fredericksburg, right off exit 126 I95, for your software update. Welcome to the area!

I use the Safford CDJ dealer in Fredericksburg, VA (it's also where I bought my truck). I have NOTHING but great things to say about the dealership and the service department BOTH! They really are (from my experiences) a customer-oriented place. Hell, the shop is even open on Saturdays!!! (great for me since I'm an hour away at Fort Lee - Petersburg, VA).

Check them out and see for yourself; I do not think you will be disappointed!

Thanks a lot nifty97z, that's very reassuring to hear. I need my Uconnect updated (I don't trust myself to do it), and would like to get the trailer brake controller installed as well. I may end up needing my 20k mile service done before I go to my MOS school in November too, so I'm glad that you can objectively recommend them. Also good to hear that they're open on Saturdays as it is difficult for me to get off base during the week.

I've been going to Safford for almost 5 years now and I haven't had an issue with them yet. If you are looking for a non-dodge place I also recommend Express Auto which is on Rt 1 a little past Safford if you get off at exit 126. I've had nothing but excellent experiences with them as well.
