Default Zaino polish is the way to go!

Hi - this is my first post on the forum. I don't own a RAM and , in fact, never owned a Dodge. I currently drive a Nissan Armada LE AWD. I have fallen out of love and want a new ride. I am drueling over cue244's 1500 Sport 4X4 Crew in Deepwater Blue. That truck looks amazing. I don't know if the domestic boss will approve of a new truck but I want one...bad!

Anyway - I don't know much about RAMs but I do know about car polish. I bought the Zaino system when I bought my Armada back in 2005. I have used it on several cars and it is the best polish I have ever found.

The basic kit from zaino dot com costs about $90. It will last you several years so it is money well spent. The Armada and RAM are pretty similar in size so I would think my time estimates are pretty close. First they tell you to wash with Dawn dishwashing liquid to strip off any old waxes. The clay bar job takes less than 1 hour for the whole truck. The truck will feel smooth as glass after that.

They then have Z5 for minor scratches or if your paint is near mint, go straight to Z2. Apply a very small amount and let it dry - you can leave it on all night or mine usually dries in 1 hour. Wipe it off and repeat. If you have the time, apply 3 coats of Z5 or Z2 (always finish with Z2). Each Spring this entire process can be accomplished in less than 3 hours. I often do my car and my wifes at the same time. Wipe one down while the polish is drying on the other. Good workout in garage at night!

After applying Zaino, I promise you your RAM will never look so good. The paint will look soaking wet. Do a google search and see other pics folks have posted. Zaino is the best! (McGuiar's is #2 in my book, I never tried the NXT but I bet that is super too).

Hope this helps.

Looks good. Good luck with possible purchase of a Ram.
