All you'll find is bare metal behind the covers. And, I suspect they used a pretty good industrial adhesive to stick them on. Might be tough to get them off!

dont attempt it, a guy came into our shop wanting the same thing and was willing for the sacrifice of his rim and ended up buying a new 700 dollar rim if i remember right. truck looks good the way it is if you wana change the rim set-up i would sell yours and find some others for it and ive always been a fan of the knight rider ram rims their a 5 spoke black chrome really cool looking.... but my suggestion is to not attempt

i thought the plastic caps were just held on by the lugnuts and maybe some clips. i was thinking they had the cap on so if you scrubbed a rim you could change the cap without having to buy a rim. so instead if you mess up the plastic you have to buy a new rim?! that makes no sense. they shoulda given me the option to choose the plastic chrome or to have a nice aluminium wheel.

What a great looking truck...I love the deep water blue! I am in total agreement with you about the factory chrome clad wheels. For the price that these vehicles fetch a nice set of wheels should be included. I'm from michigan and the road salt used here in the winter gets trapped under that cladding and will cause the clear coat to bubble and peel.I am currently looking for an aftermarket alternative.

That blows!! I'm really disapointed, I have a chunk missing from one of my rims...it also exposed the cheap plastic it is made of underneath the chrome foil. I did not mind because I assumed I could just buy a new one for like 50 bones and replace it in a few minutes. Thats what i refer to as "triple P" (Piss Poor Planning). I don't even care that they are cheap plastic because it's a truck and will be taking a beating...the plastic covers would be a good idea if they were easily replaceable. I STILL LOVE MY TRUCK
