Arrow 05 Ram Daytona questions

I just bought an 05 silver Ram Daytona quad cab last night. Truck has 18k miles and is very nice. I really like the way it drives and handles but I have to say that the first thing it needs is some bolt on mods to wake up the motor. Coming from an 05 Yukon Denali 6.0 the Daytona is a little lacking in power. I would appreciate any input on the best bang for the buck bolt on mods for this truck. Also this truck does not have a hitch for towing and I have called everyone in town to find out about a hitch and they all say that theres no hitch listed for this truck becuase its a Daytona. That cant be true! Anyone run into the same problem trying to find the correct hitch? I called 3 Dodge dealers and several local trailer companies and came up with nothing.

The best first mods for the Daytona for more power would be a CAI, headers, and a programmer (Superchips or Diablo).

As far as a hitch, mine came factory wth one. If you keep an eye on the classifieds here or CL you should be able to pick one up cheap.

Agreed, CAI, headers and exhaust, and programmer. Can't believe it feels slower than your Yukon though... Maybe a gear change is needed?

I expected it to be faster then the Yukon but my wife and I lined up and the Yukon eats it up. Not just off the line but top end as well. That Yukon 6.0 is no joke. With AWD it just goes! The Daytona is more fun to drive and handles much better just needs more juice. The hitch is really bothering me becuase the dealer is saying a regular Ram 1500 hitch will not work becuase of the rear facia/roll pan thats under the bumper

The truck has 3.92 gears which should work well for towing. The exhaust has me wondering. The truck has a facotry Borla dual exhaust. Headers make sense but should I be considering replacing the factory Borla exhaust for more power?

Interesting, those are the gears I have and love. Headers then would make more sense, I agree.

What kind of Cold Air Intake is that? Will it work with the stock Daytona hood or do I need a functional Ram Air Scoop?
