Default Hose 34611

I have a 2000 Ram 4x4 quad cab that has a hose hanging from a metal canister connected to the front axel on the passenger side of the vehicle with a plastic compression like fitting on the end. The hose is marked with 34611. There are no fluids coming from it. The canister has an electrical clip (indicator lamp switch) with 2 prongs on the left side when you are looking up at it from beneath the vehicle. The right side of the canister has a circular unit on it (vacuum shift motor) with 2 hoses coming out of it running into metal lines along the frame across the middle of the vehicle and then goes into small rubber hoses again somwhere. Any idea what the hose is and where it ties into? Is it safe to drive?

I saw this diagram while searching and it's exactly what I'm talking about except mine has a 1/2" rubber hose coming out of it that I need to find a home for. I've tried to copy and paste it but it won't work. I'll find the post and add it in here.

I haven't tried it, don't want to mess anything up too badly. If it is the vacuum line, where would it connect to?

Turned out to be a vent hose that just sits in the air connected to nothing.
