Yep it sadly was english haha. I totally agree with you that cherokee was beastly. I just don't even know what to do for the 3.7 since I drive the 5.9 monster Lol.

I have an 08 modified sxt and just for conversation purposes I cut my muffler all the way off. I was very surprised by the sound. Loud enough to wake the neighbors but still has that oh so familiar mopar grumble. I still havn't decided if I am going to put a muffler on it or just cut off the "Y" pipe after the two CATs and kick the pipes out infront of the rear wheels. I will try to get a video with a good sound clip on here soon

I thought the first vid looked like a 3.7 under the hood.
The 50's Flows sound good. A buddy had one on his Ranger -4 ltr and it made all the difference. Sounded very nice. Low and rumbly but not obnoxious I had a 40 or 45 Flow on my 6cyl Jeep ...a bit too loud and not really low enough for my taste buds. I wonder if Magna Flow makes one for the 3.7? I believe they are known for their lower tone exhausts.

I was going to suggest a FM40 but the 3.7L may need more help so try an AeroTurbine 30/30.

Wow that doesnt sound that bad!! Love the rims too.

I plan on getting a set of big horn edition 20's from '06+ maybe this summer. Id really like to get rid of the 17s haha.

Well thanks everyone for your help. Sorry its been a while!

Here's the end result. I went with a Flowmaster 50 series dumped right near the rear axel with a turn down pipe. I love it!! Its basically the sound i was looking for.
Here's a video i made right after i got the new muffler a few months ago.

Thanks again!
-pat.

I have a thrush muffler on my 3.7 and I get a wicked deep exhaust not between 1800 and 2000 RPM. I wasn't sure if this was the muffler so I ran no exhaust passed the cat to see. Yep no echaust other than the cat on the truck does the same thing. I am still running the thrush right now and am ALWAYS setting off car alarms when I drive by and scaring people at the lights. Had plenty of people ask me if it is the 5.7 because of the sound. Best thing is the thrush mufflers are only $20-30. I am actually going to change out for a Dynomax system here in the next few months because it is cheap and will give a more even note and not something that is always setting off alarms which gets dam annouying after a while.
