Default Suggestion

I too am looking for upgrading my rims and have done a bit of research.
If you have 17"s on your truck you have a 5 lug configuration. And if you want to keep your tires look here> http://www.bigwheels.net/index.php?l...bold_id=378995
and here≥http://www.wheelsforless.com/detail.aspx?ID=3431

My truck came with 20" rims. A friend of mine suggested smaller rims with a larger tire to help with towing and any offroading I might do.

Your factory 20" wheels are 5 lugs on 5.5" (139.7mm) diameter pattern. The factory offset for a 20x9 wheel is +19.05 and a 20x10 wheel should be close to +25.4. Be careful about going down in wheel size. Be sure the 17" wheel will clear the brake calipers before you buy.
