Default how to debadge

I want to debadge my truck and I'm not sure how to go about it. I've had people tell me a razor knife, others to use braided dental floss... kind of extremes. How have you guys done it and any suggestions?

I used sewing thread. Anyways, just park in the sun for a while first, they come off real easy.

Scratched off the thick glue layer with my finger nail then used 3M Adhesive Remover for the residue. Worked great for model badges as well as the door molding that was on my truck.

Fishing line works great, and perhaps a adhesive remover like goo gone, or even WD40. Let it sit there for a while in the sun to. Heat will really help with the removal.

if you have no sun like what we've been having for the last couple of weeks, try a hair dryer. dont leave it in one spot, keep it moving. after about a minute with the low setting, it should peel right off. worked for me. if you're nervous about burning the paint, just use the sun method.

Fishing line, sun, wd-40 or similar lube has always worked for me. Texas sun negates any need for a heat gun.

Does the center badge on an 08 leave any holes in the tail gate?

Just found out the answer to my own question. The center emblem does not leave any holes on the tail gate. Used fishing line to remove the emblem then some wd 40 to help removed the tape left over.
