Default any head unit keeps turning off when I power on

Hello, this problem first started out that randomly the stereo would turn off then on, then it kept getting worse and worse. Now it stays off until I turn it back on but then it just goes right off. I thought it was the head unit so I changed it out with another one that I have in the garage, but that one does the same. I checked the battery connections and loosened everything and put it all back together secured. Also when it happens I can hear a clicking under the dash some where. I have searched online and this forum but found nothing so I thought I would post it here. Anyone have some suggestions? Oh I am using a wire harness to the OEM plugs so no spliced wires.

There may be a relay (that's the clicking sound I think) that is going bad in the radio power circuit. Check the owner's manual electrical section, find the fuse and relay tables, then go under the hood and find the specific relay. Replace it. That may do it!
