Default IAT sensor mods

I've been reading about people relocating their IAT sensor into the air intake hose for a little free performance boost, but i have also read about people soldering a variable resistor in line of the IAT.

Where is the sensor located, and how many wires are going to it?

its located on the front left side of the intake manifold. there are 2 wires. you unscrew the sensor out. use a 1/4" npt pipe plug to replace the sensor. then drill a hole the appropriate size in the air intake tube. you will probably need to cut the wires and splice extra wire on the plug for the sensor to reach the tube.

it tells the computer that incoming air into the engine is cooler that normal so the computer re-calibrates the air/fuel mix giving you a lil more power
