Cool Which resonator to take off

i know that there are 2 resonators on the exhaust of my 2006 qc ram HEMI. I hear alot of people taking off their resonators so their exhaust sounds good. I'm concerned about the MDS mode. If i just take off the one at the rear of the exhaust and replace muffler w/ an aftermarket muffler will it still sound crappy or like a rice burner in MDS mode??? Please help, and thanks in advance...

hey i can try to help you out.. i have an 06 1500 qc 2wd hemi, and i had my resonator removed about a month after my catback exhaust was installed. i have seen my exhaust from underneath the car multiple times, i go to school for automotive so it on the lift from time to time, anyway there was only one resonator on the factory exhaust. i dont know how it will sound with MDS, but i know that taking mine off made a huge difference. my exhaust was much deeper at all times including at idle. not to sure about the MDS though, sorry..

1500hemi06, your 06 hemi has the MDS on it. So if it sounds good, than it sounds good on the MDS.

I have an 07' Hemi Quad Cab and a few weeks ago, I had the stock exhaust cut off and had dual straight pipes put on from the cats back (Had them put stainless tips on straight out the back). My truck screams!!! When MDS kicks in it does sort of sound like a tractor but, down the highway with the radio on, its not too noticeable. It didn't cost me all that much compared to some of the cat-back kits and I guarantee mine is louder than any of those kits. If your looking for sound on a budget, go to your local muffler shop and either have them delete the muffler and resonator and keep the stock tail pipe, or spend a little extra and have the duals put on. I haven't seen any other Rams in my area with Cats and straight pipes but, disregarding when the MDS kicks in, I'm completely satisfied. It sounds awesome at idle too!
