Default Problem..Found

Hey all, after a million posts on my highway shake issue, i went today to have my car balanced on the road force balancer and what they found was FLAT SPOTTED TIRES. atleast one to be certain, it was in the front so when it was moved to the back the steering wheel didnt shake but it just feels like im on an uneven surface. Going to goodyear in the morning, does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this warranty issue? I printed the TSB on it to show them, should i try to get them to replace all four tires? Im completely fed up with this, its crazy to have to go through this with a new truck.

yeah its a PITA

they will probably just replace one or 2 tires...maybe 2...depends on the condition and how many miles (havent been up to speed on your issues haha)

i never used the OEM tires i replaced mine before i even took delivery of the truck haha

Try and get them to put a better quality tire on there. Get the zone rep involved. Michelins, Bridgestones, etc...

Reasons you had flat spots in your tires is from the truck sitting for a period of time. Whether at the dealership or sitting on some lot somewhere on its way to the dealership. It happens all the time when i get back from deployments and my truck has been sitting for 7 to 8 months. I have an extra set of crappy rims and tires jsut for this situation of letting my truck sit.

if they are good peeps they will put the new tires on...

but its gonna take some effort out of you most likely to get them to agree to that....

especially if your going with the normally more expensive tire...

Glad to hear that your problem has been found. Hopefully they will take good care of you. Your Dodge service department should be able to put you in contact with the zone rep. Make them do the work, that is what they are paid for.

Went to dodge today and there ordering 2 tires to start, I know for sure of atleast one that is causing a shake, what would you guys do, put the two new tires on the front and the best of the rest on the back? how bout using the spare tire, making hopefully 3 good tires?

Glad you found the problem. As far as how to handle the dealer on this... that's something I can't help with. I've been having issues with my dealer just trying to get them to call me back on the simple stuff.
