The truck in question is a 98 (i believe) ram with 5.9V8, 2WD, disc/drum setup. The issue with the brakes is this.
ABS light comes on sometimes, but stays off mostly, the seatbelt light stays on even when belts are on, a few places told my ex-wife that it is an ABS sensor, she had it replaced, 3 times...works for abit, then same problem, she took it to a shop for tires (Midas
), they did like $600 worth of brake work which is cheap for midas i hear, but it worked for a bit, but they had a brake fluid leak, midas said it was "condensation from A/C", they explained A/C didn't work...they said "well it's condensation from something", but they "tightened all the fittings" they had messed with and it never leaked again. Now the issue is Push the brake pedal and it is ok at first, but as the truck slows you feel pulsation in the brake pedal, I'm guessing it would be a piston or something in a caliper or maybe air in the system, but usually air in the system causes a spongy pedal, the pedal is stiff and feels good, but you feel pulsation (which i suspect is coming from the left front) and when it comes to a stop it quits. It only happens from like 20mph down. Any suggestions? I am borrowing the truck and was asked to check this among a few other things out (no turn signals), so i am trying to get an idea seeing as this is the only thing i'm not really sure on. Thanks for any advice!
