Default Trouble with remote start feature

I have a issue with the remote start feature and I am curious if anyone else has had a problem. When I press the button (twice) the only thing that happens is the horn beeps and there is a error message(hood ajar) on the readout. Has anyone had any similar issues? It's probably not a big deal but I expected everything to work upon delivery.
This is the only issue I have found with this truck.

Sounds like it's time to get some warranty work!

here are the two pieces you should have. first pic is the switch and is located just to the right of the hood catch. the second is the corresponding piece mounted under the hood. they should make contact when the hood is closed.
