Default Fuel guage

after a drivers side fender bender the fuel guage does not work. all other guages work. all fuzes that i could find were good. where does the fuel guage receive its power from.

I do not know, but in a previous truck I had the problem was in the cluster. I had to change that out even though it was only the one gauge.

How bad was the accident? where did it hit on the driver side? Could there be any wires or something that go damaged in the accident. I would look for the cheap fix, before looking at changing a cluster like I had to.

the hit was drivers side, not too bad. the wires were pulled away from the connector in the left side wheel well. i reinstalled all of the wires and everything works in the rear cab all lights and of course the fuel pump. i checked the diagrams on Dodge.com but i don't see where the power comes from that goes to the sending unit and the guage. i will keep trying to figure out the diagram again. thanks john.

I'm not too sure about the source for the gauge, but my old s-10 had this problem, and it turned out it was a 700 dollar fix because they had to drop the gas tank. Hope you can fix it yourself and save 700 bucks, wish I could help!
