I don't see how this is better... Not for me at least. 5 yrs/100,000 mile warranty wouldn't do me much good if I keep the truck for 8 years like I did my last one. Good thing I bought an 09

I just got the 2012 limited, and i plan on keeping for some time
I did get the life time warranty, it cost me $ 3200, this is the first time i bought the extra warranty But i do plan on keeping the truck,, the only thing that the salesmen said if
i get 15 years down the road and 200,000 miles on the truck He said they will value the truck and if the repair is more then truck is worth they will only pay value of truck.

It's like i just had a Mac endwhench break, gave it back to the Mac tool guy, he said they dicontinue this one, He said he give me $15 credit, I told him when i bought the endwhench it was for life. How do these people change the rules in the milde of the stream. they blow smoke ware the sun don't shine to get you to buy things and when it time to let the smoke out they run the other way,,

Bikenut will become famous soon enough

But looking at it sensibly, If the truck gets to the point of being worth only $2500 and the new transmission it needs is going to cost more than double the value, what sense does it make to keep throwing expensive repairs at it? I figure when I get to that point, I definitely got my value out of the 'Lifetime' warranty. Lifetime does not mean YOUR life, it means the trucks useable life.

If we would like to keep programs like this available, we need to be reasonable about it.
Besides, I am pretty sure I will get enough repairs done to cover the $2100 the warranty cost me, so I didn't lwaste any money AND they're basically buying you out of your old wore out truck at that point AND! You still get to keep it!
It's a damn good warranty IMO.

Default Lifetime Powertrain Warranty??

When I ordered my 2009 Dodge Challenger it had a lifetime power train warranty on it. They did change it later, but I don't believe they did on my vehicle. If they did it sounds like a class action suit to me for the old bait and switch! That was a selling point and I'm not the only one that purchased a vehicle due to that being offered. If I no longer have it I will be calling an attorney.
