Default Aftermarket Remote Start

has anyone ever tried installing aftermarket remote start and security system?? im tinking about getting one cuz the remote start is kinda cool but dont want it to be a PIA to install. and is it really worth getting?

They do work , but make sure it is installed correctly by a pro who has done them before . I have seen some installed and tapped into the wrong wiring . Just be careful .

well worth it in my mind, but I live in Alberta with -40 deg winters so a remote start is a must for me. I got the ProStart in my '07 and worth every penny.

I've been thinking about getting one as well. My main thing is that I want to make sure of is that it wouldn't void the warranty for whatever reason. I know it's a dumb question, but you never know these days with car dealerships.

An aftermarket starter wont void the warranty, just like everything else, the part has to cause the problem, not just be presesent.

It's a job you can do yourself if you're got the time and a good wire code book. Else i'd rather pay tech $100 and have it done right with a warranty on top of it.
