Default AEM or BFI?

is there really a difference in performance? Aem is $100 cheaper and saving money is good so I can save up for a programmer. I'm just wondering if the BFI is really worth the extra $100.

YES... BIG difference...I ran a Mopar clone and then ungraded to the Ramhammer (now BFI)...the difference was huge... especially vs a cummins tdiesel on a hot summer afternoon..

alrighty just wondering because aem claims 12.5hp and i didn't see any claims for bfi. my buddy has a 2006 quad cab and he put a k&n on it. it seems good to me but since everyone here says they suck I would rather have whats good.

I think that it all comes down to your own opinion, and what you plan on doing with the truck. If you use it as a daily driver, and do not race it, don't plan on racing it, etc then I don't know that there would truly be a noticeable difference in performance.

I've got an AEM brute force CAI on my 08 QC with the HEMI and I've been very happily satisfied with it. It does what I wanted it to do. At the time it was also the only CAI that I could find that came with a tb spacer (I'm not convinced that the tb spacer does anything though)

I'd had good luck with AEM in the past, and not so good luck with K&N. I also didn't want to put out the extra cash for another manufacturer that I was unfamiliar with.

Just my opinion

..the thing with the BFI, and I've spoken to many who own it...it greatly improves low end performance all the way up... and isn't that what we want for daily, on street driving? it's just bonus for what it does for me at the track... vs an srt10 no less..

Ive got the K&N CAI and I have noticed a difference in bottom end, but I installed the Magnaflow catback at the same time, so who knows if it helps that much (but Im happy with the setup) and getting about 1.8-2 mpg better

The BFI is hands down a better purchase.

Besides looking better and having more customizable options, it comes with a lifetime warrenty.

The 16 gauge rolled steel construction is built to last and the construction is second to none.

Feel free to PM Jeremy (handle - 0212353) the AirFlow Innovations Customer rep here, he would love to help you make your decision as there are many more selling points beyond what I have outlined.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

We have had a customer move from the AEM to the BFI - he's not looking back!

To give you some selling points - lifetime warranty - try to get that anywhere else! 30 day money back guarantee (never had a customer use that one!). Fully customizable - from paint options to filter options (just to name a few).

Let me know if you have any other questions! Best way to get me is to email me - jeremy@airflowinnovationscorp.com

Thanks!

Jeremy
