Want Speed is on a distinguished road
Default Point me in the right direction...

I am picking up a 2009 2wd Quad Cab Ram 1500. it has 4k miles on it. As you can tell by my forum name I want speed.

I am new to the dodges and the hemis, but am wanting to build the 5.7l to handle twin turbos. Can anyone point me in the right direction of to where to get the engine built with forged internals. Also does anyone know of anyone else who has tried to do a twin turbo build on a 5.7l (post links please).

Also any advice on trannys?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the Z!!! As for a custom job on that new engine, not sure who to send ya to. As for twin turbos, The Squires reverse turbo system probably would work....Puttin that much boost though you gonna need a different tranny

I was checking around last night and I think I would like to go with either a 5.7 to 6.1 stroker kit or 6.7 stroker kit. Haven't checked on heads yet.

Turbos I will be fabricating. I am not a fan
of rear mount turbo systems, I'd rather have the snails under the hood.

Thx for the help yall

Where are you located? We're very big into the boost segment of motors, especially the 5.7 and 6.1 liter hemi's.

If you want i'd be more then happy to work with you!!

Why do you want to go the turbo route just out of curiosity?

What type of power or E.T. goals are you looking for?

I am just fascinated with turbos, and how easy they can make SERIOUS power... I would like to have a street reliable 1000hp Daily driver. My ET goals would be 10s or 11s (preferably 10s)

Im going to cruise around your website, and I will get back to you. Thanks!

Haha nice! I don't think your going to need that much power to get into the 10's or 11's at all.

Plus running that much power your going to have to work A LOT of other supporting items. Even just to pass NHRA saftey regs. Turbo's are easy to make power and great for that, but the complexity of the build is a little more involved then just a supercharger.
