i have a 2005 hemi with intake/exhaust/throttle and throttle body spacer and tow alot .. I like the edge programmer that goes up on the dash board but was wondering if it where any good for power gain and transmission shift points? Its really a toss up between that and the superchip..also is there any other bolt ons that would give me a few more ponies to tow

Depending on how much you drive, the gas mileage improvements could pay for the predator. I commute about 1600 miles per month, so an increase of 3 mpg or so saves me around $50 a month. I've heard that the 93 tune will yield around 3 mpg improvement- I haven't been able to tell that yet, partly because I haven't been able to keep off the go pedal as much as I should since getting the predator last week, and partly because I've been messing around with the 87 tune and doing some data logging with that.

As I mentioned, I got the predator last week, and I love it so far. Things like being able to adjust a bunch of different parameters, data logging (either saved to the predator, watched real time on your PC, or stored straight to your PC), and the ability to save custom tunes if you mod your truck and get a custom tune later are all really valuable features to me.

I also recently just picked up a Preadator and installed the 87 octane tune a few days ago and I love it. It was an amazing difference in power. I too installed it for better performance to result in better gas mileage but also find it hard to stay off the gas now, LOL. I have no other mods yet - but I may not be able to stop now.

There had to be something within the way the tuner wrote the tune to the PCM or something in the tune itself. I think Diablo has since fixed the problem and I haven't heard of any trans problems in awhile. But as hemibyrd posted above Superchips is by far the best if you are not in need of custom tuning there trans control is far Superior to anyone else's and will be for along time to come.
You obviously did not follow the instructions. Did you change the shift settings or utilize shift program option 2? Change the idle settings?

Also, understanding what you can do with the Predator for tuning to gain optimum air / fuel ratios, fan settings, and a whole host of other options (take a look at the logic tree) supports my contention that the Predator is superior to other products out there.

Then, there are the options for a CMR tune on a mildly modified engine and the flexibility to tune the engine as more mods are made, such as cam, heads, etc...which is not an option with the Superchips and the Hypertech programmers or Jet chip modules.

there WAS an issue with the first release of Diablo in terms of tranny issues..i experienced them myself...after a couple updates, the problems were solved... I didn't touch any tranny settings when i first got mine (only engine)
