Default Shift knob

I have an 08 ram wit the 4.7 but its 6spd manual and I want to change out the shift knob to something else but not sure on how to take the knob off. I have an idea but don't want to mess it up. So can anyone help me out?

Looks to be pretty easy, remove the shift pattern cap with a screwdriver, then the nut holding the knob on.

the t-handles are pretty sweet.... just be warned.... they tend to be hotter than hell in the summer, and colder than a well digger's @#$ in the winter....

the Mustang that my wife used to have had a metal shift knob, my Honda has one now, and the Malibu I had in high school had a custom t-handle that was turned down on a lathe made from polished brass... they were all cold, and all hot

good luck

I have the Hurst T-handle, and it's such a huge improvement over the stock knob. it has all metal hardware, unlike the majority of knobs you usually come across, and you can position it where it feels perfectly comfortable, which i have found helps reduce arm, hand and wrist fatigue when in congested traffic, since you're constantly shiftin.
