Default Old new guy, had first Dodge 30 years

Glad to be a part of your forums.
The first thing I am looking to do is increase HP for my 09 Ram 1500 2wd 4.7. It kinda needs it. Before I start going crazy with intakes, chips, exhaust, I thought I would get some opinions and ideas from the experience.
What are the 3 most important, (relatively inexpensive), things I should do?
I have to have Flowmasters...unless there is a better way to go??
Thanks for the input!

snakevet888, welcome; I started out with a K&N on my 2000 Ram 1500 with the 5.9L V8; modified that to fit my 2004 Ram 1500 Hemi. I went with an AEM filter the second time and like it better than the K&N. Running a Magnaflow single with the stock pipe; a single will give you more torque where a dual set up may help some on the top end, but that's not where I use mine the most, like the off the line torque. I have tried a couple of tuners over the years and sent them both back, just never saw the inprovements compared to the price. Couple of pics in my album; Good luck.

Great comments! Thanks to all for your input. What about performance chips, they are easy and cheap.

I am economizing these days, so is it feasible to do the Magnaflows and intake without the tuner, until I gather up some more $$$
When I can afford it, which tuner did you go with? And, are chips just a cheap replacement for tuners?
Thanks!
