is there a DIY on how to remove the stock radio and install an aftermarket... A DIY with plenty of pics ?

I would connect the ACC wire from the stereo to the cigarette lighter hot wire. It's switched power and will work, my brother in law hooked his up like this in his 2006. I bought the way overpriced xsvi6502-nav to hook mine up with, and while it works, it's also a pain in the butt. Everytime you unhook the battery you have to take the dash apart and unplug the adapter to reset it. Use the cigarette lighter or find another switched power source, it doesn't need much power to turn it on.

So just to make sure I understand, you use an adapter harness, exclude the separate square plug with three wires on it, and run a switch power supply either from the fuse panel or a cig. lighter or something. Is this correct?
